Yes, we can make custom sizes, but there are important things to remember when choosing one.
Making a custom size requires us to set up our machines in a special way. This setup costs a lot of money. So, to cover that cost, we only offer custom sizes if you order a minimum of 5,000 pieces. And the good news is, there's no extra fee for the setup.
Another thing to think about is the impact on the environment. When we make custom sizes, we often end up wasting materials during the setup process. This happens not only for the first order but for every order afterward too. That's why we suggest considering our standard sizes whenever possible. It helps reduce waste.
Size Constraints:
Now that you've considered the need and quantity, here are some of the size restrictions for you to keep in mind as you plan for your custom job:
Right now, our web width is 28", which means the 'lay flat' design of the pouch must be less than 27.5" to account for the trim area. How is this calculated?
Stand Up Pouches
Height:
Maximum- calculated by doubling the height and adding the gusset dimension and comparing it to 27.5"
For example, if you wanted a 12" tall pouch with a 2.5" gusset, the calculation would be: (12*2)+2.5 = 26.5". Since this is less than our 27.5" allotment, we can successfully produce this height/gusset.
Assuming you used the minimum gusset size of 2 inches, the maximum height would be 12.75 inches.
Minimum - 3.14 inches (with zipper, this must be 4.5 inches or greater)
